On Saturday September 20th from 9am to 11am Friends of Calera Creek Park and Pacific Beach Coalition are co-hosting a volunteer event for Coastal Cleanup Day. We hope you can join us! See event details below and SIGN UP HERE by filling out the form for each volunteer.
When: 9/20/25 9am-11am
Where to Meet: Reina Del Mar Avenue near Hiawatha Avenue (north side of creek)
Supplies: Volunteers are encouraged to bring buckets, work/gardening gloves, and hand gardening tools (shovels, rakes, etc.). Please wear long sleeves, pants and sturdy shoes. Sun protection and water in a reusable bottle are also recommended.
Focus Area: Volunteers will help clean up trash, remove non-native and invasive weeds, and support native planting efforts, all of which contribute to maintaining a healthy watershed, restoring native vegetation around the creek, and providing safe access for recreation.
